My Wedding Journey Part III - Pre-Wedding Photo Session

As you may know, six or seven months before marriage every couple (bride and groom to-be) will do a pre-wedding photo session. For me, it's the perfect phase to capture the romances, loves, and the bonds between the bride and the groom right away before the big day come. You can also share you pre-wedding photo at your gallery photo at your big day.

Few steps to find your perfect pre-wedding photo session :

The Photographer

It's a little bit tricky to find a perfect photographer for your pre-wedding session. You may find many photographer with different taste. It's not about bad or good the photo is, it just how you find the "click" between you and your photographer. Beforehand, you must know your preferences first. What type of photo you want and what kind of shoot you like most. Is it a fun shot, a romance one, or maybe vintage touch. After you know your own preferences, you can try to find the portfolio of the photographer you want and compare with your preferences. If they have the same taste like you do maybe it's the photographer you have to choose.

The Budget and The Place

In the other hands, you have to think about the budget and place for taking photos. Some peoples like to go to the mountain, big city, or maybe even beach. It can also inside or outside your current living city. If you had quite plenty budget, you can try to pick at outside your living area, nearby city or even overseas. But if your budget is not quite big, inside the city might be an appropriate choice.

The Engage Vendor

Last one, don't forget to keep checking your bridal vendor, if they might have engage with several pre-wedding photographer that you have to pick. If you choose photographers that's not on the vendor list, you may ended up paying additional cost instead.

I preferred taking photos in Jakarta city, place where I lived. Some of my considerations are I don't want spend too much budget on this photo session actually, and the second one is I don't want to complicated my self to prepared many stuff for the pre-wedding photo session outside Jakarta or overseas, while still have to prepare the wedding it self. Post wedding photo session might be consider though.

So, I because I'm engage with Tracy Bridal for my gown and they have engagement with Philo-arte Photographie, so I have to working with them for the photo session. But fortunately their taste of photography is which I preferred so it's a perfect choice for me. We do the pre-wedding session in two days, one was the indoor theme and the other was outdoor theme. It will be very exhausting if you do the photo session all in once.

Here's some of my pre-wedding photo session, hope it can inspire you.

Indoor : Studio at West Jakarta

The Red Pants

I always love red color. It so bright and bold and it always make everyone notice your appearance.

"You can't hide in red", they said. So instead of red shirt or dress, I choose the red pants from Stradivarius and paired it with Black cut out neck shirt from Le Bijou and my favorite Mary Jane heels in Black.

Because Black and Red will never go wrong, don't they?

Under the Shade

Lately I've been really fall in love into jumpsuit. Why's that? Because you know when you're confusing for what to wear you just jump into your jumpsuit and voila! You already dressed up in one single piece of cloth.

So I've several kind of jumpsuit but my favorite is this turtle neck knitted grey jumpsuit by Stradivarius. The material is very stretchy and flexible enough with your body shape. The length is also fell on top of your ankle and make your legs looks longer.

Paired it with long knitted cardigan in black and Mary Jane heels in black for my completed look. Try it, maybe you'll fall in love too like me!

So here's some pictures of my grey jumpsuit.
