Exploring Kyoto and Osaka

Now it's all about Osaka and Kyoto.

Beside Tokyo, we also went to Osaka and Kyoto to experience Japan a little more. We took the Shinkansen ride from Tokyo to Osaka and stayed there for 4 nights. Osaka is known for their famous food in Dotonbori area. Got chance to strolling around Dotonbori while experience their foods as well.

Aside from Osaka, we headed to Kyoto for their famous heritage temple and castle there. You can purchased Kyoto Bus One-day Pass (500 Yen) to strolling around Kyoto.

KIYOMIZUDERA

Kiyomizudera temple

Currently in restoration when we're there. Cherry blossom start to bloom when we got in Kyoto. In Kiyomizudera temple there's many market place for you to buy souvenir, street food, or maybe to rent Kimono. At that market, I found this green tea cookies and this turns out so gewd! A bit expensive but totally worth it for green tea lovers like me.

Dango Cake, made from rice flour with red bean paste. My first attempt eat dango

NIJO CASTLE

Nijo castle and it's surrounding.

Nijo castle divided into three parts, the main circle, second circle, and garden surround the castle. Actually it is prohibited to take photos inside the castle, so I just shared the main entrance and it's surrounding. It cost 600 yen for the admission fee.

UNIVERSAL STUDIO JAPAN

My happy place on earth : Universal Studio Japan

It was a rough day when we're at USJ, because of the weather not really nice, yes raining almost all day long. Unfortunately we didn't bring us an umbrella, so we bought a yellow-minion umbrella there (cute but expensive like any other things there). Oh and since my husband didn't bring his wool hat, so I lent him mine and I bought a blue-cookie monster wool hat there too. The most challenge part is when we up into an outdoor roller coaster ride, we can't wear any scarf or hat so it's super freezing cold up there.

USJ was so crowded back then, I think it's because of the Spring season and also the newly Harry Potter theme park. For pre-caution we already bought our express pass ticket from here so we don't have to queued long, and yes it's worth it (despite of the super very expensive price).

While waiting for rain to chill a little, we try caricature drawing there. It cost around 400 Yen.
Here's the result! Nice eh..
